Berrow Court is an Asian wedding venue in Birmingham — a Grade II listed Victorian mansion in Edgbaston with three acres of private gardens, exclusive use of the whole house, and a catering policy that lets you bring your own caterer.

Capacity & Layouts for Large Celebrations

The Harriet Suite seats up to 130 guests and looks out over the gardens; with the rest of the house in use the venue takes a further 170 guests in the evening, or up to 300 catered buffet-style. Table layouts are adapted to what you need rather than fixed to a standard plan.

Outside Catering Welcome

This matters more than anything else on this page, so it is worth stating plainly: Berrow Court permits outside catering. The in-house team is award-winning — recognised by the MBCC and the Midlands Food & Hospitality Awards 2023 — but the venue has always been flexible about families bringing their own caterer or chef, which is usually the deciding factor for an Asian wedding. Speak to the team about kitchen access and timings when you book your viewing.

Ceremony, Stage & Décor Access

Five rooms are available across the house, so a ceremony space and a reception space can run side by side. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies, and decorators and suppliers can be brought in — talk through your staging, mandap or décor requirements with the team in advance so access and set-up time are agreed.

Multi-Day & Ceremony Options

Because you take the whole venue, the building is not shared with another event. Guest suites are available on site for close family. If your celebration runs across more than one day, ask about consecutive-day availability when you enquire.

Parking & Guest Access

There is parking on site. Berrow Court sits off Hawthorne Road, a short walk from the NX23 and NX24 stops on Harborne Road, and roughly ten minutes from Birmingham city centre — straightforward for guests travelling in from Solihull, Sutton Coldfield or Wolverhampton.
